Kristopher Oster served in the United States Army from 2004 to 2014, deploying to Iraq during some of the conflict's most intense years. After transitioning from military service, he built a career in biomedical engineering, working with the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Later earning a degree in electrical engineering, he continues solving complicated problems—usually involving machines.

His writing is grounded in philosophy, memory, and the complexities of trauma and human resilience, focusing on authentic stories about war that avoid clichés and easy answers. Kristopher's narrative style emphasizes emotional honesty, reflective humor, and subtle exploration of the lasting effects of combat experiences.

He currently lives in the Midwest, where he reads extensively, writes thoughtfully, and constantly searches for fresh ways to share compelling stories.
